Character profiles to show all sorts of different info: genetics, traits, notes, credits, frames, and more! While many of these things are input by staff (such as genetics and traits), there are some things you are able to edit as the character owner. Namely, this is how the image of your character is presented, and their personal profile.

Applying Frames:

To apply a frame after purchase, select the item in your inventory and choose the character you would like to use it on. Then press the unlock frame button! Next, go to your character's page and click on the frames header. Click on the drop down menu and select the frame you'd like to use. If the image does not regenerate right away, try clicking on the regenerate image button. If the issue persists, please hard refresh the tab as stated in the frames section.

Editing Character Profile:

To edit your characters profile, click on Edit Information in the Settings box on the bottom left sidebar. Here you can edit their show name, their toyhou.se link, and any custom categories (called "custom values"), such as age, gender, etc. You can also update the general profile content, which uses HTML to code what  we see on your character’s profiles! For example, some profiles might have links to theme songs or bulleted lists of like and dislikes. You can be as creative as you like here, or feel welcome to simply link their toyhou.se and leave this section be.

Additionally, at the bottom of this page you can choose to allow gift art and writing for your character! You can set these options to yes, no, or to ask beforehand. While these are not hard requirements and we will not force users to follow these, you should use these as a reference as to if this character is open to be used! You can also determine if your character can be traded or not, to prevent others from asking for trades for that special Baltic who you always want to keep.

To submit any of your changes, click the Edit Profile button at the bottom right of the page.

Editing Character Design, Traits, or Genetics:

Unfortunately, editing more staff-based information will require a staff member either approving your request or going in manually to change it for you. This is broken up into two main types, simply called "visual changes" and "text changes".

Visual Changes

Visual changes, of course, require the actual design or art change to be done first before seeking approval. Accessories can be added by anyone. For Baltic Reindeer, anyone can make design changes. For Baltic Huskies, you must you must have an approved member be the one making the design change. This can either be a staff member (who are authorized to make any applicable visual changes), or someone who is approved by administrators to make design changes, as the Baltic Husky genetics must remain visually accurate. These users who are approved for design changes will be designated with the "Husky Helper" Discord Role.

If you are seeking to become a "Husky Helper", please reach out to one of the species administrators!

Now that your visual changes have been made, you must seek approval. If you are seeking to use an item, such as a revamp voucher or accessory item, you must already have the item in your inventory ready to use. Then, you would go to the left sidebar and go to the bottom and view the "Update Design" button. You would then follow the process, and at the section where it asks for items, add the applicable items you are using for the visual change. If you need more detailed instructions, please reference the MYO and Custom submission guide!

Text Changes

Text changes are ones that do not require an actual design or art change. This could be errors that need to be corrected or using an item such as using a gene change item to change a carrier gene. In order to submit text changes, you will need to file a "claim" and attach any item you are seeking to use, and specify which character needs to be changed. A staff member will then approve your claim, and make the changes for you!

If you have any additional questions, please feel welcome to contact staff!
