Foraging and Gardening are some of the newer features of the website, and have not yet fully launched.
Foraging is currently fully available, though as time goes on more will be added to it in terms of locations and prizes you can win from it. Currently, foraging works by choosing the location you would like to forage at and waiting an hour. During this hour, your Baltics will be led by locals around the location you have chosen. By foraging you can receive bells, crafting items, seeds, and occasionally items from shops! Every day foraging resets and the locals available will switch, so you will only be able to forage once per period. For example, I can click to forage at 6:30pm EST, claim my foraging at 7:30pm EST, and forage again immediately. However, I cannot forage again until 7:00pm EST the next day, almost a full 24 hours.
With foraging present, you will be able to utilize the gardens. There are three sections of the garden: your farm, your coop, and your barn. Each functions off of available plots: you can choose to simply use only your free plots, or decide to purchase additional plots. Your farm is used to plant seeds you find from gardening or from the Farmer's Market. By taking care of these plants every day, you will eventually receive flowers or vegetables that you can sell for extra bells! Your coop and barn function in the same way, except they are used to respectively take care of small and large animals. If you take good care of your animals every day, they will find rewards for you in the form of bells or items. You can choose which animals to place in your coop or barn, and for those not currently being used you can keep them in your inventory or give them to your characters as companions.
Currently, gardening is not available, but is currently in beta testing and will be available soon! : )
